In order to properly manage the receipt of financial or in-kind contributions from a commercial interest as defined by accME, in accordance with the Standard for Commercial Assistance 3: Appropriate Use of Commercial Medium, the Supplier shall understand and apply the ACCME definition of Commercial Assistance. This directive also describes the ACCME requirements for written agreements between accredited suppliers and commercial supporters. A supplier does not comply with SCS 1.1 and SCS 3.2 if the supplier agrees with a sales support contract in which the sales medium indicates how the supplier will meet the accreditation requirements. An accredited supplier can meet the expectations of SCS 3.4 – 3.6 by accepting a prior agreement between an accredited supplier and a commercial supporter and indicating in writing that it accepts the conditions indicated and that it receives the amount of commercial support.
